1.  Does my team need a Fall 2008 roster to apply?

Yes,  your team must maintain a core from your Final Fall 2007 roster as of Dec. 2007 for D2 or Final Fall roster as of Mar. 2008 for S2

2.  Where does my team register?

EDS2 does not register player or teams.  Each team must apply with a home club/association for Fall 2008.  That club/association will issue official rosters and player ID's.

3.  What ages play on what days?  This is a change from past years.

U12-U15 boys and girls play on Sat, U16 and up boys and girls play on Sundays.

4.  Where will my games be played and what time?

Games are played on EDS2 designated fields in the Houston area.

Sat. time slots are 8,10,12, 2,4,6

Sun. time slots are 10,12,2,4, and 6 PM

5.  What teams are in EDS2 for Fall 2008?

Your final finish in S2 league play seeds into Fall 2008, top 2 from S2 promote to EDDOA, bottom 2 from EDDOA relegate?  Any openings are filled by order of finish in Director's Cup.

6.  As a coach, do I need a kid safe pass?

All coaches, assistant coaches and trainers are required to wear their Kid Safe pass on the sidelines at all times.

7.  When does the Fall 2008 season begin?

Saturday, September 6th.

8.  When is the balance of fees and bond money due?

Team fee deposit and bond will be due at the coaches meeting along with rosters. EDS2 coaches meeting--  6/29 at the Hobby Hilton at 1PM.

9.  How many teams will be taken per age bracket?

12 teams will be taken per age bracket. 

10.  When and where will qualifying games be?

No qualifying games will be held. 

11.  What if I played EDS2/cup play last year and want to play up an age bracket this year?  Example:  If your team was U15 in Fall 2007 and you want to play U17 in Fall 2008.

Your team will be considered a new team, even if the team a core from the U15 team.

12.  What if we are a pre-approved team and our team name/coach changes from last year?

Team name and coaching changes are fine.  Make sure to complete that spot on the EDS2 application.

13.  What happens if our team does not meet the 50% plus 1 returning player?

Your team will be considered a new team.

14.  When will schedules be posted?

Around September 1st, if they are ready before then coaches will be notified.

15.  Why is there no information on U11/12 EDS2?  All U11 teams, just like last year go through EDDOA qualifying.   Go to www.eddoa.org for information and deadlines.

16.  My team did not compete in a Spring cup, can we get into EDS2 in Fall 2008?

Applications will only be taken if there is an opening in an age group.  Currently we have openings for 3-U19 Boys teams.
